Nigeria is now the 91st happiest country out of 156 countries in the annual Sustainable Development Solutions Network’s (SDSN) 2018 World Happiness Report released by the United Nations.
The Report was based on factors such as GDP per capita, social support, healthy life-expectancy, social opportunity, generosity and absence of corruption.
In 2017, Nigeria was ranked as the 95th happiest country in the world. The recent 2018 ranking has shown an improvement as Nigeria has moved four spots higher to claim the 91st position.
The report ranked 156 nations and showed that Finland is the world’s most happy nation while Burundi was at the bottom of the table.
The survey also found out that Americans were getting less happy even as their country became richer, while Finland rose from fifth place in 2017 to oust Norway from the top spot.
