For years now, private schools in Nigeria have been doing a lot to provide quality education and standard infrastructures for students. The challenge with this is the cost of the fees, most of these private schools in Nigeria are usually very expensive and can only be afforded by the rich. In this article, we would be looking at the most expensive High schools in Nigeria.

  • British International School: BIS is located at Lagos state, Oniru Private Estate, Victoria Island. The school was founded in 2001 (September) and is owned by a Nigerian royal family. The school includes boarding facilities and most of the teachers are expatriates. BIS charges N4.48 Million as school fees per annum.
  • Lekki British International School: LIS is located at Lekki, Lagos state. The school was established in September 2000, school fees are paid in US dollar. The school includes boarding facilities for its high school students. LIS charges N4Million as school fees annum.
  • Day Waterman College: Day waterman is Located at Ogun State, Asu Village near Abeokuta. It was opened in 2008. The school offers world-class facilities, it was founded by Tayo Aderinokun. The school charges N3.7 Million as school fees per annum.
  • Whiteplains British school: Whiteplains is located at Jabi, Abuja Municipal Area council. It was established in 2007 by Francis Chukwumah Nwufoh. The school runs both Nigeria and British curricula. The school charges N3.6 Million as school fees per annum.
  • Greensprings School: Greensprings is located at Lekki, Lagos state. It was established in January 1985. Boarding facilities are included on schools ground. The school charges N3.2 Million as school fees per annum.
  • Loyola Jesuit College: Loyola Jesuit college is a private boarding school in Abuja, operated by the society of Jesus of the Roman Catholic Church. It was established in 1996. The school charges N2.9 as school fees per annum.
  • Hillcrest School: Hillcrest school is located at Jos, Plateau State. It was established in 1942. Hillcrest School was ranked 40th out of the top 100 best high schools in Africa by Africa Almanac in 2003.  The school charges N2.7Million Naira as school fees per annum.
  • Atlantic Hall: A-Hall is located at Lagos state, Lekki-Epe. It was founded in 1989. The school charges N2.5 Million as school fees per annum.
  • Chrisland School: Chrisland is located at Lagos and Abuja. It was founded in 1977 by Dr.(Mrs) Winifred Adefolahan Awosika. The school charges N2.3 Million as school fees per annum.
  • Dowen College: Dowen is located In Lekki phase 1, Lagos State. It was established in 1997. The school offers both day and boarding facilities.  The school charges N2 Million as school fees per annum.
